What to expect: Ministry Details

Before Mass- Arrive 10 minutes before Mass to sign-in (that way we know you're here).
- Sign-in on the sheet in the sacristy.
- Take a few minutes to offer your ministry to God.
During the LiturgyPlease be flexible if there are more ministers than needed or an unexpected ordinary minister is present, such as a deacon or concelebrating priest.
Extraordinary Ministers carry out their ministry with dedication and reverence. Please be sure to dress appropriately for Mass and follow all health and safety procedures.
Dress the part
Training and Guidelines- Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are trained by the pastor as needed.
- Each Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion is asked to attend one retreat or formation event every year to continue in their ministry.

Schedule
Our liturgical ministers are scheduled via Ministry Scheduler Pro (MSP) for scheduling periods of 10-14 weeks. MSP is super convenient and allows you to personalize your scheduling preferences including Mass preferences, dates you can't serve, and you can request a substitute with a click.
Serving frequency depends on the number of ministers also signed up to serve at your prefered Masses. -
