If you are 18 years or older and have not received one or any of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation), we invite you to consider enrolling in RCIA. This process perpares you, through the work of God's grace, to receive the Sacraments of Initiation and come into full communion with the Catholic Church.
Before Jesus left this world to return to Heaven, he established the Church as a way to continue to be with his people. "Behold, I am with you always, even until the end of the age." (Matthew 28:20). RCIA gives you a chance to ask questions about things like: What is the purpose of life? How can I learn to pray? What steps do I need to take to become Catholic? Why does the Church teach certain things?
We meet once a week from September through May to learn about Jesus and how to be His disciples. Adults who complete the RCIA process receive Sacraments at the Easter Vigil at St. Anthony de Padua Church on the evening of Holy Saturday. Download a detailed RCIA Proccess Map.
Class starts on Sunday, September 20th at 9:20 am in the Church Meeting Room. Class will run from 9:20am-10:30am each Sunday, so that you could attend either the 8:15am Mass or 10:30 Mass.
Classes are for those who are seeking to become Catholic, but anyone is invited to attend! Fr. Ben is opening classes to anyone who wants to brush up on what the Church teaches and what we believe as Catholics. This is a great way for the parishioners to support those entering into the Church, too! Please note that anyone who is already confirmed need not sign-up or submit paperwork. Just show up.
